The Whaka-Ora Pest Project (WOPP) is the brainchild of the Ōtautahi Conservation Volunteers New Zealand (CVNZ) team as part of the Whaka-Ora Healthy Harbour programme.
We wanted to do something about the plant and animal pests in Whakaraupō Lyttelton Harbour. If we can get pest plant and animal numbers down, we can help restore the harbour’s precious ecosystems and see native birds, bugs and lizards return.
