Save Our Jetty

Jetty with choppy water

Help us to restore Governors Bay Jetty

We've walked along it. Jumped off it. Fished from it. Had fun on it. Got married on it. Scattered loved ones' ashes from it. Found peace from the view surrounding it.

If you want to do it all again - or you haven't done any of that yet - you can.

If we save it.

Town Hall Meeting

We've spent 4 years talking about saving the jetty. With over $1 million secured and over $500,000 of the project costs covered by pro bono services and practical volunteering, we're ready to start the project.

It takes a village to save a jetty and we need a little help from a lot of people. Can you bake? Can you carry a plank? Can you make a phone call? Can you add data to a spreadsheet? Can you give your employer an information pack about the workplace plank sponsorship scheme?

If the answer to any of those is yes, or if you want to know when we'll be starting work on the jetty restoration, come to our town hall meeting at 4pm on Sunday, 25 August 2019, Governors Bay Hotel. There will be nibbles (first come, first served) and news about the jetty.

We'll be presenting time lines for fundraising and physical work. If you can't make it but want to put your name down to help or you'd like to know what we said at the meeting, click the link below.

Share the message far and wide to anyone who you think might want to help or see the jetty re-open. Everyone is welcome to be part of this amazing journey.

After we've given our progress report and plans, we'll conclude with a brief AGM for Governors Bay Jetty Restoration Trust and Governors Bay Community Association.

I'd like to help and/or know more
